Packing Baby’s Hospital Bag

Happy Tuesday!

With the 37 week mark approaching, I thought it was about time to get my hospital bags prepared! There are so many different things to consider when assembling a hospital bag. For example, how big (approximately) will your baby be or what season are you giving birth in? For me, our son is already nearly 8 pounds, so if he makes it to the 40 week mark, there’s not chance he is fitting into those newborn sized clothes! It may seem like I have packed a lot of clothes for him, but it’s really difficult when you know your baby is going to be huge. I needed to pack multiple sizes in case he comes early, too.

Before packing your baby’s hospital bag, make sure you wash the clothes with newborn friendly detergent. Dreft is the most popular choice and you can buy it at any major store, or online.

Baby’s Hospital Bag

  • Car Seat (Already Installed)
  • 3 Sleepers – One Newborn, Two 0-3 Months
  • Going Home Outfit – One Newborn, One 0-3 Months
  • Mittens
  • Socks
  • Hat
  • Burp Cloth
  • Muslin Swaddle Blanket
  • Swaddle Wrap
  • Diapers and Wipes (Hospital will have some, but I’m packing just in case)

I can’t believe that our boy is almost here with us! He is running out of room in my belly, so he must be anxious to get out. Only he knows when his birthday is, and we just need wait as patiently as possible! AHHH!
